You might try Mustang's web site. I'm not sure how good of a match it is, though. www.mustangseats.com

I have a left over passenger studded backrest Buck. It has a rip on the top that has been there for years. Hence no resale value.

You could use as is (I did for years), repair it (some kind of vinyl/leather kit might do well) or optionally have it recovered.

If any of this sounds like an option, and you would be willing to pay shipping to you (N/C for the part), send me a personal message through the clinic with some contact information.

Yamaha prt number STR-5GA41-50-02 is a replacement backrest that is studded.

It is not perfect match for the stock passenger backrest pad, in fact it is a little nicer looking. Not as "squared off".

List price is $100, so you should be able to get it somewhere for about $80 to $85 dollars.

I found it on Yamaha's site, under accessories, seats and backrests.

I made one. Posted on the Road Star Riders forum for a stock pad. Wasn't studded, so I picked up some studs at the local Harley dealer and installed them. Looks close enough that you can't tell a difference.

By the way, I used a thicker strap than was called for, however was heck to bend to the correct shape. I also removed one of the bottom nuts (I'm not sure the technical name but the ones that work in the plastic backer) and used it for the bottom bolt hole instead of the pop-rivet suggested. I also mounted the seat a little taller than suggested.

Comfort is awesome!
