I guess it was just destined to go on her side.

Well if that's the case then let's hope evil Fate is satisfied.

Anyhow I guess given my druthers I'd take a tip on the driveway over a dump off a trailer onto the freeway any day.

a couple of questions.
you said right side. Is it the Right side as you sit on it or as you look at it from the front? Is the rings bent on the Driving lights or just the Lights? Bulbs?
The reason I ask is I put my 07 Liquid Silver Roadstar down on the Right side as I sit on here. So I have a left side hard bag(liquid Silver)can be repainted. A bran new Clear Driver light with on/off switch that i can make you a deal on if it will help.If insurance is paying Seatle Moter Sports give % off retail.

Mine went down while warming up in the driveway on me too when I first got it. I was closing the garage door, too. But it had 39,000 miles on her. Only minor scratches from plastic patio chairs which I removed.

I was glad I saw this before it happened.

mine wnt down in a storm, it was under a shed next to my lawnmower, we had winds up to 60 mps that day, it parachuted to cover and blew it on the mower, the mower kept it from going all the way, just tweeked the handlebars and broke the mirror, had them replace before the next day, but was lucky

Didnt anyone ever tell you to keep the shinny side up!

Prior to purchasing my bike the custom paint was done as a anniversary present from the former owners wife. First trip down south (we are from canada) they open the bike trailer and a strap had broken and his best friends harley had fallen over and bashed in the side of the newly painted tank. I teared up a little when i heard that story..

I didn't have a bell on my "new to me" Roadie when I dropped her once. Going down the driveway, she wasn't quite warm enough when I pushed the choke all the way in. So naturally she stalled. Me, being a standard transmission cage driver for years, figured I would just pop the clutch. WRONG--DON'T DO IT!!!! The real wheel might have been on some leaves and locked up and slid to the left then to the right. I was going so slow I couldn't maintain balance and down we went!! Minimal damage, a few scratches on the mirror and front brake lever, barely noticable, and dented the left side passing lamp ring, still useable and on the bike but I still need it if anyone has one. I'll trade you a couple/three rider's bells for it!!! (Just got my bells in the mail today) I did have to do some rebending of the passing lamp/directional mounting bar, but it is hardly noticeable. May the misfortunes be minimal!! And "shiney side up" doesn't really relate to me--because even the bottom of my Roadie shines!!!!VROOM VROOM--Ronnie

And thanks to the stories here--I'm starting the bike AFTER I close the garage door!! I'll let her warm up when I'm putting my gear on and during the first few miles!!! VROOM VROOM
