MY SEAT ON MY 05 MIDNIGHT ROAD STAR IS VERY STIFF. WHAT ARE SOME GOOD COMPANIES TO CHECK OUT? I LOOKED THROUGH YAMAHA AND THEY DIDN'T HAVE MUCH OF A A SELECTION.

The seat on my '05 was hard too. Went with a yamaha comfort cruise which really isn't after 75 or so miles.

A lot of guys like the Mustang seat for more cush.

Josh, in the upper right hand corner you can search this site for lots of info on seats. I'm looking at buying Ultimate seats myself, mostly for the "Long Rides". Good luck deciding.

I am having one semi custom made from Diamond custom seats in Fl. They've been around a while and swear they can make a seat fit anyone. And the price is about the same as a Mustang or Corbin. Plus I don't know if you noticed not to many seat manufacturers make a solo seat with a backrest attached if thats what you are into.

What part of Florida? I know that Sargent s in Jacksonville does them too, and, well, they used to do a nice job, I don't know if they do anymore since Bo left.

Seville, Fl. Diamond Seats have been making custom seats a while. I am giving them a try. It did not work out with Mustang.

Re:stiff seat 2 Years, 11 Months ago
I just recently got a Mustang. One thing I noticed is that it's NOT soft and fluffy, but rather stiff. I haven't been on any long rides with it yet, but haven't found it to be uncomfortable either.

Time will tell for me.

I do remember trying out an Ultimate once for about a min. at a rest stop. Another guy had one on his Roadie. I do remember it feeling very "lazy-boy-ish" as far as being easy on the tush. Now, that feeling might not last on a really long trip.
