Right to the sissy bar

Ok, I agree. The sissy bar is first pick.

What if you are running without one though?

I'm thinking the right side of the swing-arm would be good in a pinch. Couldn't turn left though or the rope would rub on the tire... Kinda limits the old creativity a bit. Might see some broken glass or something I want to aim for...

Yep. Sissy bar is better.

Chicks at rallies are the best. Most of the time they've been drinking a little and their inhibitions are lowered a bit. I've seen hubbys take pics while the the wife is showing the pups while sitting on another guys bike.

If I came out of a store or a restaurant and found some dude sitting on my bike, I'd make congenial small-talk with him as I took my helmet in hand, holding it by the rim, and then swung it hard to bluntly remove them from my bike.

I find that inserting the tip of my knife up their nose while holding on to their hair or their shirt front with my other hand keeps me from saying something that might be considered offensive to any bystanders. I really try hard to watch my mouth in as much as I'm trying to put my ex-con and former sailor image behind me. Anyhow, at 64 and only 6'2" at 200 lbs, I don't intimidate folks much anymore.

All this talk about removing someone from your bike. I'm curious how the legal system see's it...I really don't know what your rights would be.. but it would be good to know before hand..

Ever get bounced out of a bar?

I have been told by my local constabulary that you have a right to protect your property or stop someone commiting a crime. Better not go overboard though.

Re:Stranger sitting on bike? 3 Years, 3 Months ago
Interesting thread. Odd that no one has actually had the experience

About a year ago I came out from a store and there was a guy sitting on my R* twisting the throttle and making reving noises. He was dressed business casual (dress pants shirt & tie) so probably not a wacko. I was stunned I walked up to him and said I value my bike way more than your life and I don't really mind going back to prison. I think the guy crapped his pants he got off and was stumbling backwards saying sorry I'm really sorry I just aaa ummm sorry man nice bike umm sorry... I just said you don't EVER get on someone else's bike. Then I made sure everything was cool on my baby and turned around and this other guy was there and said WOW I thought you were going to kill that guy I just grinned and fired er up and rode away.
Then I bought a sticker for my helmet that says "Rule #1 Don't touch my bike"

It's always different when you are actually in the situation rather than thinking about it..

I bounced in minneapolis for 3 years. As long as the guy was drunk and you weren't the cops beleived anything you said, no matter how busted up the other guy was.
