You are right .....alittle cheaper. I have a hard time paying $10 + for shipping on a 12oz item that really cost $2.00 to ship. I could be wrong.

Got to your local WalMart or a sewing center they will have metal ones as well as plastic ones. I have a bunch for my sewing machine.

im pretty sure they make them in stainless... go raid grandmas sewing box lol... i would call a singer dealer or sewing repair shop. hmmm just checked the ones i have here and they are just steel with chrome plating.
