I didn't have the alignment issue when installed. They lined up pretty well lined up on bothsides. Pehaps it is different with leather bags because of the flexibility. Just a thought. STR-5VN33-00-00 Saddlebag Guard $253.44 STR-5VN72-70-00 Trim Rails $168.94 I normally order from www.yamahasportsplaza.com but had to order the saddlebag guard from www.boats.net. You can order just about any Yamaha part or accessory from boats.net but they are usually a few dollars higher.
