Re:Loud Pipes 3 Years, 2 Months ago
I did the stage 1 a week ago and it was ok. Did the Stage 3 Wednesday and road 200 miles today around Daytona and I love it. Just trying to figure out whether to drill out the stage 2 as well or if it won't make a difference or not. Any imput on the stage 2 would be appreciated. I am having a minor problem with carb coughing at low rpm idling but I am sure I can make a few adjustments to the PMS to correct that.

Hey Drcox---if you want the original exhaust sound back--you can find the original exhaust on ebay--sometimes for about $20 plus about 30-40 for shipping because they do weigh a bunch. I bought a stage 1 on ebay--total with shipping was $75. I didn't want to drill mine while on the bike and maybe--just maybe I wouldn't like the sound. Once drilled you can't go back. But from what everyone here says, it does make it sound deeper and throatier. I haven't installed it yet--I had a problem removing the allen head mounting bolts and I may have to drill them out after removing the saddle bag and mount on that side. But some here may have the stock exhaust free just pay shipping. Just ask around. Or maybe you will get some responses to this post. Good luch and happy, fast but safe riding VROOM VROOM Ronnie in MD

Loved the way the bike looked when I first got it, but hated the pipes. Too big, too restrictive, & every time my wife got on the back, her foot ended up putting shoe marks on the exhaust system. Switch to Warlord Slashers, got the sound I wanted, my pipes were out of the way, & the neighbors think they sound as awesome as I do.
