Greysnake. You have a Roadstar Midnight according to the OEM parts reference to a 1700AMTC. The CA refers to it being from California and therefore probably has additional smog equipment.

P.S. The code for a Midnight Silverado is 1700ATMTC.

Hope it helps. Ratl.

Well the bike was gold and beige and has a black motor but the forks are not chrome. It did have studded seats, leather saddle bags, rear passenger floor boards, passing lamps, Windshield so it appears to be a silverado...I guess.

same bike as mine two tone...Midnights are black with hard saddlebags....and I dont believe the Standard Road Star that year came in a two tone..the Standard R* was a bluish white Cocktail color

IT is an XV17ATT Road Star Silverado Two-Tone the Cal version is XV17ATTC

It should have "Silverado" stamped on the front chrome of the windshield

Just take the VIN and go to the Yamaha shop and ask em to run it, they can tell you for certain. They ran mine and told me it wasn't a Silverado and hence not worth as much money, not that I would sell my baby to them anyway!!
So I just have an old RoadStar...

Re:How can I find out the model of my Roadstar 3 Years, 2 Months ago
Ok well it would appear that I definately have a Silverado model....not a midnight...just a standard Silverado. My bike had way too many features to be a Roadstar standard and it did not have chrome front end so that verifies that it is definately not a midnight. Thanks for the help on this.

There is no such thing as a standard Road Star after we riders get our hands on it.
