I've found a good oil! 5 Years, 3 Months ago
Not looking to start a debate, just thought I'd put this out to the RSC community. I've been doing alot of reading , running back and forth to auto and bike shops the last couple of weeks, and here's what I came up with , with the help of my local Honda shop (where I bought all my bikes till this one, my parts guys are VERY helpful).
This shop sells honda, suzuki, and triumph, and carry alot of brand specific oils for the different models (gn4=honda, mobil 1= triumph,etc..).
Here's the point. Suzuki has a full synthetic oil in 10/40 for just 7.00 a quart. Now , that may not be the best price that is available for synthetic, but at that price, and it's designed for bike use (MA) ,I'm pretty stoked.
Once again, not a debate, just a public announcement!

10-4 , no disagreeing there. But the suzuki oil is also made for v-twins (and their other motors as well) and it's only 8 minutes from the house. Too, I went to napa, advanced, and a couple other bike shops, and never saw (yes I asked) mobil1 v-twin synthetic. Auto parts stores had valvoline dino bike oil, but that was it.

But once again, for a full syn, the $ is right , and readily available.

BB

Sounds like a good oil to me I would use it as long as it has no addatives to mess up your wet clutch...API Jaso- Ma tells you its clutch friendly......Coug

I hate doing clutch jobs (done about 7 m/c, 1000cc goldwings will make you go mad), so in short, I agree.
