Re:How can I find out the model of my Roadstar 3 Years, 2 Months ago
Well i bought my 05 with 8500 miles on it..When i went to look at it...it was obvious that the main drive line of the bike was ok. I asked him if we could start it. We walked right up to it and cranked it right up. Let it warm up and listened to it idle for about 5 minutes or so. Handed the guy $1000 and loaded it in my truck...now i am about $900 into the project and about finished...so ...guess what....if I find another one i would not hesitate to buy it.

Here is the latest photo of this bike. And YES that is a 21" HD wheel with a 120/70 tire. Shes gonna look good when done....about a week left.

I remember this subject coming up a long time ago also. My memory is crap lately but I seem to remember a Silverado model Roadstar has a four bolt bracket or stay as it is called on the parts list on both sides of the bike, while the standard model only has a four bolt bracket on the left side or shift side of the bike. The swingarm bracket is located right behind the wagon wheel cover on the left side and straight across from it on the right side of the bike.
My bike is a 2003 Roadstar Silverado Ca model, it has a brushed front end with a windshield, brushed switch boxes and brushed top clamp. An alumium motor. It also has studded seats, and studded backrest on the sissybar, and studded soft leather saddlebags.
It was my understanding there were standard models without windshields, without bags, without passenger pad or sissybar backrest, and these early models where not designed to carry passengers hence the lack of the beefed up bracket on both sides, and one way to tell if your bike started out a Silverado or standard model. Good luck with your build, looks good.

Well I took her for a ride tonight. I was all smiles...she ran like a champ. I will take some good photos tomorrow when i tinker around with finishing everything up. I do not have a front fender on the bike right now and i am not sure if I am going to install it or not.

Thanks for the compliments guys.
