Just a quick quiz out of curiosity...as far as all of us go, which do you ride with, and what percent of the time?

1) Full face helmet

2) Half Helmet

3) Helmet? Is that the same as a bandana?

Just curious... ...I've been riding with a full face, but picked up a half helmet this winter to try it out. Guess I need goggles now, huh?

Half helmet for the DAvE part of the team and 3/4 helmet for MARni i had a full face with flip up jaw for my triumph trophy but didn't like the look with the roadstar. Besides I had to get a black one!

the 1/2 helmet I picked up is a nice gloss white, just like the bike. I think, though, in the spirit of compromise, I'm painting the helmet a nice flat flat camo black.

In colder weather or when riding with my friends that have CB radios I wear my 3/4 with a flip up shield with headset and mic. I have a hand held CB that I use to talk to them with. That makes the longer trips more fun, I just wish some of them knew how to sing,,,
But I prefer the 1/2 with sunglasses.

Half when it is warm. 3/4 when it isn't. Sometimes just a sock hat or nothing when I feel the need for freedom. Need a face mask lately. Realize that's stoopid but sometimes I think I'd rather be dead than in a wheel chair if someone hits me.

Local Dallas cop died 2 nights ago when he hit a curb on his new personal Harley and the bike ended up on top of him. Did you know you're 38 times more likely to die in a motorcycle accident than in a car accident?

Sunday I'm riding and a knuckle head is waiting to turn right on a red. He waits for the guy in front of me to pass then pulls out in front of me I swear I was only about 15 yards away when He did it. Just missed the a-hole. Of course he didn't see me. I think there should be a law that if someone does that you get two free swings at their vehicle with a big ball peen hammer. My first shot is at the driver side window, second is right in the middle of the hood where they can see the dimple as a reminder. Feels good just thinking about it...

Half helmet 100% of the time. If it gets cool I zip on the ear covers. Wife has 3/4 with flip up face shield.

Virginia is a helmet law state, I'd wear one anyhow.

I wear a full shieded helnmet....reason is years back I was rolling along on a 90 degree plus day with 86% humidity(hot as hell)...and with my shield up to pull in some cool air a bee hit my cheek ran down inside my helnmet and went in my ear ....so there I was 240 lb man jumping up and down pounding the side of my head trying to get the dam thing out and some guy actually stopped to help me out .....he took me to the hospital Emergency room and a doc flushed the bee out with a huge needle full of alcohol.....trust me there are few things scarier than having a living creature inside you head you can hear running down the ear canal and stinging you every time he hits bottom..... so thats why I wear a full helnmet ...oh then I called out sick from work ....Coug

Post edited by: Cougar, at: 2007/02/20 05:58

Dammit Cougar.. I know it wasn't funny then, but I would love to see that on Americas Funniest Videos...

I did have a bee get in a air vent of my jacket once he stung me 2 times before I killed the little bastard...
