Thanks PopRivet - I appreciate all your help. You cleared it up for me. I think I'm gonna do what you said last - order 4612, 4810, 2267 (red lenses), and buy 1156 clear bulbs separately and file off a "nib". Which "nib" do I file off btw, if you know?

:-DD.

doesnt matter either one..both nibs are at the end the bulb same level and across from each other on an 1156 bulb and it is a single contact

maybe when putting them in there is a choice of slot..??... cant remember just seemed they ended up tight and filiament facing correctly..

you will like the results as others have too..

I just installed the kury triple whammy on my 06 and it came with red bulbs only.
I only needed one load equalizer , If when you first plug the load equalizer in
and it doesn't slow the blink rate down just plug it into the other plug (there are two
connector for it) and that worked for me.
I ordered mine from Cruiser customs and they said it only comes with red lenses and it came only with the red bulbs
It is a 3 minute job... REALLY
I also use layout ink in RED to paint my bulbs thinking it was coming with red lenses
and that worked very good.
The layout ink is used to layout sheet medal and such , drys very fast the brand is
called Dykem.
I read somewhere about bulb 1157 but that bulb will not work in a 06???
The tits on my bike are less than 90 degrees apart
Oh there is a replacement bulb by Sylvania but i don't have the number with me and the bulb comes only in amber.

An 1157 will work in the 1700s. You just need to file off the bottom nub.

Musky it is an 1156 bulb he needs single contact for the rear both nibs are lower and across from each other

the 1157 is double contact and for the "front" and can be used if lower nib is filed..that is what I did to clear
1157 bulbs and put on solid amber lense..in the front because they are running and turn signal..

It was written a couple posts ago that the 1157 will not work in the 06. It will work. Of course in the front. Why would someone try and put an 1157 in the back unless they are changing lollipops?

I tried what fishhead said.. plugged the 4 amp load equalizer that comes with the bike in the other plug (not sure why that would work as the is common wiring to both plugs)... on both bikes 05 and 06.... but still didnt slow the flash rate down..needed the 4810

but maybe they have changed the load equalizer since I tried..cause I see there is a different 4 amp load equalizer for yamaha motorcycles

but you could just order the rtb ... it comes with one load equalizer..and try it... then if you need an extra one ...order it... and live with the faster rate for a bit...

Or if you want to do away with the fast flashing for good, change out a couple of wires from the stock signal relay to an electronic flasher. Worked for me.
