Run to key west this past week end 3 Years, 1 Month ago
Well just got back from my 750 mile round trip to Key West by way of Hwy 41 through the glades. This is a trip I would recomend to any one who can make the run. From seeing atleast 50 gators along the way through the glades to the bright blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico all made for a great trip. The wife and I went down Friday and came back Sunday. What a blast we had, and the roadie ran strong no problems.

It is a nice ride. Lived in the Keys for 20 years, none of which I had a bike for. Still have family down there though, nice riding year round. With the exception of hurricanes. For anyone who may be making the trip, instead fo taking US1 from Florida City, try Cardsound Rd. to Key Largo. It's a toll road but it's worth it!!

Hmmm... my other post disappeared Anyway, my wife and I we're there last month, second time I've driven down. We really like Bahia Honda S.P. Saw lots of bikes on the way, and had a great time in KW 'cept I wouldn't stay at the Comfort Inn again. It's too far from the action and a dive too boot for the price I think it's going to be a regular side trip when we visit my inlaws (Deerfield Beach) from now on, it's just too over the top for my wife to spend a week and a half or two twice a year next door to them... They don't mess with me, but if I'm not there they get on her bad!

We normally fly tehn use one of their vehicles while we're there, but I'd love to rent a bike or trailer mine down to make that ride.

What's Cardsound Rd like Liferider1? Traffic? Places to stop?

Tim
