Speed / Color table 5 Years, 3 Months ago
Found this on the web....Honest........Really...............I did too!

Speed equalization table:

General info - Through exhaustive testing it has been proven that it is the predominant color of the Fenders and Tank that largely determine the speed of the Motorcycle. Second colors do come into play. These tests were performed and veified by a well established, trusted, and completely unbiased third party.

1 White = 1 White
1.5 Silver = 1 White
1.8 Brown(s) = 1 White.
2.0 Red(s) = 1 White
2.5 Black = 1 White

Multi colors - There has been issues with the testing as the wind resistance is thrown into chaos by the inconsistant pattern. These preliminary results we believe are 90% accurate:

2 color - It appears Bikes with a light and dark color are largely governed by the darkest color. ie:

Black and white is 2% faster than all Black.

Red and white is 2.8% faster than all Red

Red and Black is 3% slower than all Red.

Other combinations are still under study.

We hope this table will help you in your discussion.

Sincerly

The color testing place

Oh yeah. Were GLP compliant too.

Paulie Jr. even admitted on American Chopper last night "there's nothing better than black and chrome". Not sure how his endorsement will go over but he's 100% correct.

It appears that this data has come from a non-GLP compliant lab thus the results should be veiwed as suspect.

I suspect the lab where this study was undertaken would be more appropriate in assessing various fermented beverage products.

Chrome and Black does look Great. Looks don't win the race.

I'm into comfort and cool now, if I wanted speed I'd have kept my CB750. She blew the pegs off all my buddies Hogs back in the day.

We were all running up I-95 one day running pretty hard (100 mph or so) and they were all pretty much hitting their limit. I realized I was still in fourth gear, it was all over after that.

Never heard of a white bullet. Or a black bullet. But the silver bullet is legendery. Beside, I'm with Roadie on this. My speed days are over. When I open her up it's to feel the POWER!!! And lately, she feels way more powerful and quicker than ever!!! With 8k, maybe she finally broke in completely, or the Doolies really did help the performance.

YES!!! I'm not about speed anymore either. I like to just roll. 65, 70 mph and let her cruise. I vote for a truce on the color wars.

I have a buddy that keeps an original CB "X" 1100 (Between two foam mattresses against the wall in his bedroom, of all places! ) She's a pretty special bike to him. Inline six cylinder, metallic red, only 12,000 km's, and absolutely mint!
...Now if I could only get him to take it out and ride it (maybe I could take her for a spin? ) The thing would probably give most bikes a good run for their money, ...Including my Roadie
