Heh, go figure, it's just like when you buy a car. If the dealer tells you whats wrong with it, you find a different car, which usually means you buy a car that has problem, you simply don't know them. So for a while you feel better.
Anyway I may be obsessing, we'll drop the AIS and get used to the noise, after a little tooling and testing I think it may just be the sound some of you describe being related to the tranny. Thanks for the help

Oh and as for teh wife

I was just happy she was okay with buying a new bike, so I better not complain too much, I'm pretty lucky to get that far
