Musky--

When you added the floorboard extensions, did you use the red or the blue Loctite on the bolts? Ever plan on moving them again?

I must have weekend burnout brain if something like THAT puts me in a quandary..

Thanks,

RK

Yup, Jetting. Might be more than "Weekend" burnout. Cabin fever plain and simple. I used Red. I don't want them to come loose unless it's my decision. I'll use th torch again if I want to take them off.

RoadKill, I used Permatex gasket sealer. Just a touch on the threads. Drys flexible, easier to remove down the road. Always worked for me.

Blue will do.

I've only used red a couple of times. Once was for the right FC peg. It unscrews counterclockwise so when I rest my foot on it is loosens.

You must really heat up the red to loosen the bolt.

My bike is a lady and never throws up anything. I didn't use anywhere near as much loctite as Yami did but I v'e always used red on anything that I absolutley do not want coming loose. Now that I said the bike doesn't puke gas you just watch what happens

i used blue (medium) and torqued the bolts up well, and used nylock nuts on the extensions.

works fine to date, and believe me, i´m a safety paranoid type
