I already am ready to try the 34A,
but i really need some input about the Silverado light relay and weather i can just ground the wire or if it needs a switch, the switch seems a waste since the lights already have a switch and I can just rewire the lights from the headlight bucket if that is the case.

I have the Dyna 3000 and it came with my bike the guy who had it before me did alot of work to it and just decided to get a Goldwing. His lost and my gain he installed high comp.pistons and a 42 Mlkuni carb and had it set at 5500 rpm. Well that was just to much I called Dyna tech and they told me to bsck it down some so I set mine at 5000 rpm and 28b and it runs like a beast.

Re:The Dyna 3000 is awsome! 3 Years, 1 Month ago
ok got the dyna installed 34a 5500 rpm - (speedstar uses 5500 which they sell with stage one kit)
so should be ok I have the 06 and the valve train is a little heavier than the 1600's

took it out for a spin runs up through the gears nice will take a bit to get used to not hitting the rev limiter so easy as I have my shift patterns for feel so being able to run out the gear a little longer is nice.

answered my question about the relay - grounded the white wire with black stripe - turns on and off with the key no issues... I wonder why they have you put a switch inline on the directions must not know the lights have a switch already on them... I can't hear but could hear the solenoid click on and off with connecting the wire and also when I turned the key on and off...

rand,

Just like you... 34A and a 5,000 rpm limit, and it works just great! I don't hit the limiter unless I intentionally try! With the stock 4,250 limit, I hit it everytime I was passing... and that could have posed a genuine danger!!!

Dyna 3000 is tremendous! I consider it a safety matter, and I am safer on the road because of it!

Re:The Dyna 3000 is awsome! 3 Years, 1 Month ago
I hit the 4750 (or whatever the 1700 exact rpm is) all the time when getting on it in first and second gear - but it's the crowd I roll with...

so i like the 5500 so far seems to push up to about 5300 and I feel the power and shift anyway not really trying to hit it just take it out of play and leave it up to me and what the bike sounds and runs like. Will have to get a feel for when the power drops off, cold today and had to drop off the wife at the airport so since she doesn't ride had to take the cage. Will get to ride the end of the week and should get a good feel for it, weather will be nice anyway.

Reality check ....

A 1700 with aftermaket pipes and air cleaner ...

Max Torque at about 3400 rpm
Max HP at about 4800 rpm.

A 1600 ....

Max Torque at about 3200 rpm
Max HP at about 4400 rpm

Your results will usually vary downwards from the above depending on the pipes.

Re:The Dyna 3000 is awsome! 3 Years, 1 Month ago
To my fellow riders....just to clarify, is the Dyna 3000 an accessory to get around that annoying ( unsafe) rev limiter that scares the shorts off of me every time it kicks in? Is this the only option to fixing the rev limiter problem? Is this an easy installation that can be tackled by reading the instructions?
