Handles good and lots of power. I was impressed with the throttle response and handling. I don't care for the position of stock handlebars or the tilt of the floorboards. The R* is more comfortable (natural) feeling out of the box. The R* fits like a glove. Also, love the classic lines of the R*. Don't care for the (horizontal) lines of the liner, nor the big ugly headlight. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder... I agree though, put that engine and tranny on the R* and leave the rest of the R* alone; that would be cool.

I fell in love with my R* the first time I saw her. But like any guy I got to look every once and a while. Of course my R* doesn't complain like the wife used to. At any rate, I like the motor and the aluminum frame but I can't leave my R*'2 perfect look.

Jesusman;
And you have the best looking bags too. I should have done that to mine when I had my midnight. Looks better than the Corbins IMO.

Rode both and liked both. Bought the leftover '07 R* because all things being equal, I saved too much on the R* to walk away and it's a damn good bike. My .02

Probably right, BB, but when I sit on the Liner it feels like I'm sitting on top of it, rather than in it. And it feels long...way too long for me at 5'8".

Looks like it fits you perfectly, though. ..... I'm just sayin'

But yeah, I'm sure the ride is sweet because of all the technology used (aluminimumuminum and motor tricks).
