Wondering?? Would you put a certain amount in the gas tank? I also thought that someone said that and to give it a good run and then change the oil. Is changing the oil because any carbon or what ever particles would maybe contanimate the oil a bit and would just be a cautionary measure.

I don't run any additives. I believe you don't have to if the bike is jetted properly and you don't overuse the choke. If you wish to run additives then a small amount does not require changing the oil. If you do a shock treatment (whole bottle) then you need to change the oil due to carbon contamination.

Then again, if its in liquid form could you just put it in a spray bottle and spray some into the cab?

I did that once and my wife complained that I used her good spray bottle ... I guess I need to buy a dedicated one.

I put 2 oz of MMO on a full tank of gas. I read the back of the bottle and kind of broke it down to what I think the proper ratio should be. Of course I miss a tank here or there cuz I like don't carry the bottle around with me. Again, this is the only additive I indulge in....

Now I use to drink, smoke and inject additives into my body all the time, But... I fought the law, and "the law won"

I had SVS complete with black fouled plugs and no power, did a couple of full can Seafoam treatments, rode the piss out of it. That cleared it up initially. What helped the most was proper rejetting for equipment and ALTITUDE. Now my plugs stay a nice light caramel color, and I went from 33 MPG to 48 MPG at 7,000 ft ASL.

But to this day, I put a shot (2 oz.) of MMO in at least every other tank fill up. An ounce of prevention...

I've been reading about this Seafoam stuff. An oil based product for cleaning carbon...hmmm, I'll bet it'd be great for cleaning my guns.

I've been running Lucas Top End Lube with every fill up. I haven't had a single problem. I don't know if it's helping anything, but it doesn't appear to be hurting anything either.

Yup every fill up. It kind of quiets things down a little (I think)

I've been putting in 1 1/2 oz. per about 4.3 gallons. I got the small bottle and used it up, then I got some electrical tape and put a wrap around the bottle at the 1.5 oz mark (found that by measuring it out with something from the kitchen, I forgot what). Now I buy the big bottle and just fill the little one up to the electrical tape.

Quiets things down huh? Maybe I'll give it a try. I'm a big fan of Lucas products. Thanks for the info!
