Looking to put some fatty bars on my 05'. Do the end weights work with after market bars or will I need new grips? The Big Johnsons say they won't work with 05' risers but what about DT risers? Any little tid bits of info would help, mainly what else I might have to buy to do this...

I just put the Barons Star Bars on mine plus the Barons Kickback risers. All stock cables fit with a little rerouting...and you'll want to let out a little of that extra electrical cable bundle Yami was considerate enough to store inside your headlight bucket. I actually wish I had bought the DT Risers Instead of the Kickbacks, but since mine have rise & pullback and your only have the pullback, logic dictates since my cables work, yours will too. I have no weights in the ends of my bars right now. I think those were only really necessary in the stock bars for vibration. Even the HD bars I just took off mine had no weights, and I had no vibration problems...
As far as grips go, I dunno...I took the opportunity to switch from the Yami Chrome Grips to Kuryakyn ISOs.

Roadkill. your stock lines worked with Kickback risers AND Starbars? I put the DT's on with stock bars and the front brake line is about maxed. The Big Johsons and the star bars are basically the same except for the diameter. I am looking for a SS braided upper front brake cable. any suggestions on that?

I just added those, too. Got mine off eBay, but they sell them at Hellriser Customs for about the same price, and you can get extra length ones for the same price as stock length ones. Brand is Galfer, and all reviews I could find had only good to say about them. I haven't put mine on the front yet. I ordered the stock length for the rear, but added the 3" floorboard extensions, so the line was a tad short. I just ordered the Galfer SS braided line in a +6" length for the rear from Hellriser Customs, and the price was the same for those as for stock...$55.95. I was gonna sell the rear line on eBay, but if you need a stock length rear line, I'll make you a deal!

Is the rear line braided. I'd be interested if so. I extended the boards 1.5" so the stock length is long enough but a braided would be nice. I hear they give a real solid feel to hydralic lines.

Stainless braided it is. I am redoing all brake lines, throttle cables and clutch cable in stainless braided. Went with Galfer for the brakes & Yami for clutch & throttle.
With the 3" extensions, the banjo bolt was bout 1/4" too short to bolt to the master cylinder, and that was out of all guides and stretched straight. I don't know how much slack you need in the rear line, but it will bolt on but there won't be a ton of slack. If you want it, it's new, it's cheap and it's yours.

Any one know if the banjos for the front brake line is 10mm or 12mm?
Roadkill, pm me with your best deal, however I'm leaning towards getting a +2" so I can run it thru the holders again. Found a place were you just order the lines and banjos, basically put it together yourself, just not sure of the banjo size.

I'm not sure what you mean as the two have nothing to do with each other. 
I bought some round steel stock and welded then inisde my Baron T-Bars. I found it reduced some of the 'buzz'.
You can also use shotgun shot (lead is best) or flexible weights.

DOC, I've only removed the throttle side but I seem to recall the weight being threaded into the bar, so I assumed they wouldn't work with aftermarkets. |
