Loko--

I use MMO just as a CYA sorta thing...it's far less harsh than Seafoam. So MMO goes in most of my fill ups. Now, the last full tank of gas before every oil change, I run a full can of Seafoam through that tank of gas and drive the bike like I'm mad at it...really blows any crap out that might be gumming up the works. Of course, you have to change the oil right after. Then it's back to MMO in fill ups. I had SVS bad when I first got the bike, and I started doing the above regimen (and leaned out the carb) and haven't ever had a problem since.

What will these additives do for me (MMO/seafoam)? I put nothing in but gas now.

Just my opinion - If you are jetted good and ride the bike like it needs to be ridden it doesn't do anything. Putting it in every tank is kinda like taking aspirin everyday so you don't get a headache. Just my opinion

Re:Fuel additives 3 Years ago
Mr Musky--I have to agree ---I've been running regular gas---no additives for 2 years--and she purrs like a big ass kitten. But I have found that here in Baltimore where all the gas is 10% ethenol--I get about 40 MPG--but in Ocean City MD where there is no ethenol I get about 45 MPG--still better than my Landcruiser that gets maybe 14 MPG---but that Landcruiser will get me to work in the thickest of winter storms---ride hard but safe VROOM VROOM Ronnie in MD

Re:Fuel additives 3 Years ago
All true...I probably wouldn't have a SVS problem without the MMO. And I probably wouldn't have a heart attack if I didn't take a baby aspirin every morning. But supposedly I reduce my chances of having one by 50% because I do take one....and they're cheap & available & no effort. So why not? I love analogies!

Like Mr. Musky said...it's just IMHO!
