You can make a cheap lift with two pieces of pipe and a 4x2 (I think) Search for cheap lifts in this form and you'll find a couple of ideas on how to make one with stuff you might have laying around.

I made one of those. It is now used for hanging my jacket, bandana, goggles and occasionally my helmet after I put a plant hanger in the end of the pipe. Served its purpose until I bought a lift.

That lower guard is held on by just three bolts, try pulling it off and see if the sound goes away.

Yup, and if the sound goes away you may need to check your tire/belt alignment. Dont mask a potential problem.

Can anyone tell me or explain how to adjust "Belt" alignment? Mry75 suggested I remove the bottom end plastic belt guard. I did this and the noise went away. I'm a novice when it come to working on my bike. I'm forcing myself to learn. Sooooooo, Can I adjust this or should I raise the White Flag and take it to the Dealer?

Thanks, Don

Grab the lower belt half way between the pulleys. You should be able to twist it about 45 degrees. If you can twist it more it's too loose. Less means it's too tight. Make small adjustments as a little goes a long way. What is more important than the belt riding in the middle of the pulley is making sure the wheel is straight. Measure from the swing arm pivot to the axle nut on both sides. If it measures the same on both sides and the belt tension is right you're good to go. As long as the belt isn't rubbing against the side of the pulley it's ok. Most Roadie belts ride towards the inside of the pulley. Your owners manual shows you how to adjust it. It isn't hard. You can do it.

stand behind the bike and have someone roll it forward to make sure you don't have a screw or something stuck in the treat making noise as the tire rolls down the road.
