rear brake 4 Years, 1 Month ago
I was cleaning the bike tonight and noticed the the rear brake reservoir that is by the rear brake peddle is loose is this normal. it looks like it is mounted on a rubber grommet. I tried to tighten the bolt that holds it in place but it is already tight.

It is normal. My 08 is the same way. I actually replaced the stock bolt with a new bolt and it is the same. I guess it is like a shock mount, or to allow it to vibrate a little to keep air bubbles out of the reservoir. Just theories on my part but I know it is supposed to be that way.

Your probably right road_hawg on the air bubbles and vibration but I think it may be the other way around. Loose may mean less vibration on resevoir. But thats just my thinking. I have been wrong before! ha
