I must admit the bike looks 100 times better but I am amazed how much more it sucks to ride above 60mph. I rode the freeway to work about 70-75 mph and I was constantly getting battered in the face with debris (mostly sand) and the wind was pretty crazy. Is this normal? I have ridden sportbikes on the freeway with much smaller windshields and didn't have this problem at all. I do not wish to disrespect you by any means but yes you are a wimp. Most sport bikes that do not even have a windshield are designed to deflect the wind from the rider. On a star without a windshield there is little to keep you from the elements. Especially on the thruway. I personally hate the look. Won't use one, but then again, mine is a bar hopper. I also wear a nutshell helmet. Physical limitations prevent me from using the bike for long distance travel.
