Adjustments for altitude? 3 Years ago
We leave on Saturday from Rochester MN riding to Colorado Springs. Should I be concerned about air intake levels - adjustments to carb/jetting. We will only be there for 5 days but hope to ride up in mountains a few of those days.

You get richer as you get higher. At most you might have to lean the PMS a little. But don't do it unless the bike tells you to. Chances are you won't have to touch a thing.

If you decide to go over Trail Ridge Road you might notice it, other than that you'll be fine.

I live at 400ft above sea level and have taken a trip to Yellowstone which is over 10,000ft. riden all over Colorado,New Mexico,Utah and never made any kind of change to the carb. The only thing you will probably notice is your mileage will drop when your riding in high altitude. Other then that just go and have a safe ride!
