I took the hoses off of it because it looked useless to me. That was a month ago and about 1500 miles. I got a 2.5" to 3" adapter, and had to fit the 3" end INSIDE of the air filter boot. I got that in and got it squared away. With the manifold vent-hose, I decided to go with the miniature K&N filter, and I had to core that out the rubber boot with a knife until I could get the hose to fit inside of it. Now that I'm all done, I love the way it looks. The intake hisses a lot, but I'm used to that, since I put a massive air intake on my Jeep some time ago. The bike had significantly reduced torque in first and second gear, and none in any higher gear. In third, fourth, and fifth, it acted like it was choking and coughing and was going to die any second.
