I changed out my plugs about 2500 miles ago. I saw the "standard" NGK's were light grey, so things seem to still be burning good in the jugs. Decided to try the iridium's. A bit pricey. I did notice just a bit of increase in gas mileage though not much. All said, I'll stick with them.

At almost 8 bucks a plug, they are still cheaper then the oil I use which at the parts store is almost 10 bucks a qt. (Mobil 1 v-twin synthetic).
If they are that good and you get half the miles they claim, they sound like a good idea to me. Next plug change I'll have to give them a try.

I haven't checked to see what came in mine after the recall. But, they've been making the Iridiums a long time. I remember almost 30 years ago as kids we had an old Rupp sled that would foul out regular plugs left and right. Iridiums were thet cure, and it ran better than anything else on them. I think I'll try them in the LS now that I think of it... The bike to when it's time.

I have been using them a long time as it was a possible cure for all my intake woes early on. Dealer gave me a break on em $18 list and then Amsoil would give me a dealer break at like $13 and then Yamaha of Warren said Sheet we beat that at $8 a plug and then MakCap told me go to Advance Auto and sure enough like $29 for all 4.

I certainly can tell just upon starting if my bike has These or the reg NGK plugs and it runs so much better if you don't have them, it's got to be in top ten best bang for buck MODS and in Top 2 you can do with just the factory tool kit. Just Do It!
