I used this stuff - Ultra Copper. Just speaking for myself I wouldn't put silicone or anything else where it could be sucked into the carb.

are u guys talking bout the rubber boot that goes in between the bak and the carb? If so mine has the boot clamped on to the carb and when u take the bak off the boot stays on the carb. Then when you put it on the bak just slides into the boot. no glue or clamp.the previous owner had it like that. It runs fine.

The previous owner 'modded' the BAK 'cause the boot comes glued to the BAK and you use a clamp on the carb side.

so u think its fine like that or am i missin out on running even better? Should i glue it back on? Like i said, its been running fine. Ive had it for 3 years. Thanks.

I don't think you need to be too worried about it. I doubt that there is enough dirty air getting around these areas to worry about.

Putting a clamp or glue it one is not going to make it 'run better'.
