Laws that are meant to "Protect" are good. Laws that discriminate are wrong and should be faught. Unfortunately, we must comply with them until we can get them changed.

In Wisconsin, the law says that "All vehicles operating on public roads require license plates to be mounted on the front and rear" I only received one for my bike!

I had something like that happen years ago. I'd just hit Vegas and it was hotter than a popcorn fart, so I took off my helmet. A mile or so down the strip I heard the voice of God, "Nevada is a helmet state", booming from the night air. It about scared the crap out of me. But the LEO waved at me and smiled as I pulled over to put the lid back on.

Same thing happened to me. Got pulled over (we were at a red light) on the strip in downtown Vegas by cops on bicycles. It was going to be a 200 dollar fine for no helmet , cop was cool , let one of us catch a cab and retrieve the helmets from our hotel room. Funny thing is , if you are renting a scooter (50cc ) you are not required to wear a helmet. So.....naturally , the guys and I thought a break from the helmets for a ride into the city would be nice...... BB

To clarify..... I wasn't riding a scooter , others around me were......without helmets , because scooters don't require helmets. I was on my Shadow. Did ride a scooter in Cozumel though.....BB
