I have a 07 Silverado w/ factory hard bags. Very nice being able to bring along extra crap and lock it at night..Like the others said they leak! Even when you simply wash the bike. I do like the others do and keep extra garbage bags in them when needed.

The bags are a must have when wifey comes along. As you see in the pic thats not to often

I hate 'em. Way too small. I haven't had any leakage, but maybe I've just been lucky. The plan down the road is a set of doolies and either HD leathers or maybe even some Venture hardbags.

My buddy has a Heritage Soft-tail. I like the size of his leather bags and they are studded. Would have to figure out how to mount them though. His are bolt on. I have the Tour-Master bags, came with the bike when I bought it. They untie and zip off.

The problem I found when looking for bags was clearance if you have stock pipes. My buddy who has the road king bags has cobra pipes. His bags are too close to the pipes for my taste but he got them to work. Sorry, no pic to post. I also liked the larger yamaha tour bags but could not find any for a price I could afford.

I had the Silverado studded leather bags for a couple of years. Excellent quality bags and never had any water get in. It's basically a leather-covered plastic tub so they are very strong. The bracket that attaches to the passenger peg mount allows them to hold a ton of weight and they won't move at all.

Bad points - Kinda small especially the openings. If you put on aftermarket pipes, the bags scream to be lowered.

I replaced mine about a year ago with bigger bags. Used some easy brackets to install the new bags. Which reminds me I have that set of Silverado bags and brackets I need to put up for sale one of these days.
