What defines a Biker, is not what is on the outside, but what is in the inside. It's the way you feel when you are strapped to your bike going to God knows where and feeling there is no place else you would rather be. It's the spark you feel inside when you first start your ride and the smile on your face when you turn the throttle. The sadness you feel when you have to put the bike away for the day. The many hours you spend cleaning, shining and riding your bike and it never seems like enough. Your bike is part of the family (Mine even has a name). It's the compassion you feel for, not only other bikers (No matter what they ride), but for your fellow human beings. Being an example of what Bikers really are (The Code)instead of how they are percieved. Not caring what you ride or what others ride but THAT you ride. Like the song goes: "If you don't ride, then you don't know..." I could go on and on here but I hope you get the feeling of where I am going. After owning a bike for awhile, you will know inside if you are a Biker or not. My first vehicle was a motorcycle when I was 18 (I didn't even know how to ride one), I have been riding for 31 Years, Five bikes and several falls, and I know that when I die, there will be a motorcycle parked in my garage. Before I agreed to marriage, I made sure my future wife understood how I felt about my motorcycle and that I would own and ride one until the end of my days. She agreed and has never challenged my love for motorcycling. I hope and pray that there are motorcycles in Heaven.......
