I started with 4" risers and beach bars, then went to the 4" risers with 12"x1" apes(in my photo) which I did regret because they werent high enough so I finally went to 16"x1" apes on the same 4" risers. Now I love them!! I will never go back. If you want to do apes, dont do anything less than 16" or you will be dissapointed.
