Yeh, I was going to say lose the stock mufflers... those rascals are heavy!

And correct me if I am wrong, but I am almost certain the cast wheels are heavier than the spoke... and I heard that from a Yami trained certified tech, who is a good friend.

Going to a single front brake would reduce unsprung front-end weight. Rotors are rather hefty.

Losing one third of my braking power would not be worth the small amount of weight that would be reduced by doing so. IMO compromising safety to reduce any weight is unwise. These bikes are big and heavy, it has dual disks on the front for a reason.

It may look on paper like you're losing a third of your braking power, but it ain't so. Those that have done it can chime in and tell it.

other things that shed weight:
I made a custom bracket to lay down the licence plate-that got rid of a few heavy parts
relocate the fuel pump and loose the big ugly bracket

I'm running fiberglass fenders and they haven't cracked yet. I don't think they were a whole lot lighter than stock ones though.
