I have the Cobra Slash Cut Drag Pipes and with the baffles removed, they are LOUD. Since they came with my bike, I don't know about the price, but that sounds reasonable since I've been looking at some others (2 to 1's and such) for twice that amount.

Good price for the slashcuts. They are $ 428 in the new dennis kirk catalog. Got the dealer down to $380 for a set if I wanted them. They are loud and real throaty.

Most likely not. You may have to adjust the PMS a bit but I'd wait until a new airbox before rejetting.

I love your BIKES I just bought mine MIDNIGHT 2004 with 3k on it any recomendations on oil change etc. Guy I bought it from did nothing to it.

There are a couple of articles in the Tech Tips section that explain not only the PMS but how the carb works. Recommended reading to get you started.

If you want it to run a bit quieter then you should switch to synthetic oil. A bit pricier! but I would not switch back.

Yes, the R* has a wet clutch and shares the same oil as the engine.

Again

Make sure that the oil has somewhere JASO MA rating and you will be SURE it doesn't have any additives that will cause the clutch to slip

Post edited by: Pop Rivet, at: 2007/03/28 17:53
