Gas puke survey 5 Years, 2 Months ago
Let's see where people live and if the problems are in cold weather areas. If you have had your bike puke gas or even a strong gas smell post here on where you live. Warm or cold. Lets keep it to just this season so far.

Minnesota - Gas smell. No puking.

Louisville, Colo. Pukes after riding, shut it off, just turning the key on. Outide temp or legnth of ride does'nt matter. Hopefully fixed now with new fuel pump.

Southeast Virginia, one time strong gas smell. Nothing since after two fill ups. Maybe we've gotten spring/summer formulas fuel.

Mine hised a little last year and had some smell. This year though it's been pukeing with today being the worst. When I tried starting it after going into the store for 20 min it actually ran out of the carb when I tried to start it. It did this several times untill I finaly got it started. Not a good feeling. I can understand the carb getting hot enough to boil the gas but shouldn't there be a overflow drain and a hose to the ground?

No gas puking problems here, near St. Louis, Mo. Only a gas smell on start-up when the choke is out. I doubt it has anything to do with the gas, but here in the St. Louis metro area we're running some type of super-duper refined gas (supposedly) per the EPA and emission regulations.
