I have the Star Bar on my bike (no riser) and the stock cables work fine, actually better. This pulled the cables away so they don't rub on the back side of my windshield. I had to pull some of the extra harnessing out from inside the headlight, but there was plenty and I love the bar. The only recommendation is to grind out the bar weights from your stock bar and slip them into the Star Bar so you don't increase your hand vibration. You will also have to drill a couple of small holes for the factory cable clips, if you decide to go that route. - RK.
