US gallon = 3.8 liters.
CAN/IMP gallon = 4.54 liters.
...anyone "comparing apples to oranges" in gallons here?
I thought my car was terrible on gas (showing only 27.3 MPG/Avg on dash display.)
Then a guy told me that even the Canadian models show mileage in US gallons when on the "MPG Avg" MODE.
I don't even like the "L/100KM" mode, nor does it make sense to use it to me.
( L/100km sounds wussy and stupid compared to MPG. )

With the carb settings you have I don't see why you are getting such poor mileage.

If anything, except for the pilot, you're on the lean side. And the pilot would not affect the mileage that much.

The Dyna setting is OK.

Doesn't sound like you're aggressive on the throttle.

Gas leak, inaccurate mileage calculation, bad gas ?????

Doc

Doc, I checked it twice and got exactly 30 both times. I purposely filled up with only 4 gallons both times and got exactly 120 miles on the trip meter after running the tank down to the same spot (low fuel warning light came on).

I can't figure it out either. I agree that my settings are a little on the lean side if anything with the DJ165 main. I hate to lean it out any further, especially until I get the piece I need fabbed and use my Innovate analyzer. Plugs are clean and light brown.

I purposely watch how much I rev or blip the throttle to reduce wasting gas with the accel squirter too. I use mainly BP gas or Amoco, regular unleaded. There are no leaks or anything else really stupid that I can find.

???

...and every other stupid thing Measurement Canada comes up with!
Hell, let's throw in the whole "Charter of Rights & Freedoms" (that's being changed everyday by the courts.)
Everyone's got so much Rights these days, that pretty soon NO ONE's gonna have any Freedom.
(The Rights & Freedoms part only counts if you're a minority special-interest group?) ...Unfortunately Bikers groups are excluded in that.

Still haven't figure this problem out, but was wondering what, if any, the TPS setting might have to do with it?

Why .... did you take if off when you took the carb off the bike?

Riding style can also play a part in mileage. Constantly getting on the throttle will lower mileage especially in the city. I have been getting between 45 - 50 mpg combined city/highway. Most of it is on the highways. My mileage does go down a bit depending on mountain riding as well. My 07 R* is stock except for Bub jughuggers and a silverado windshield.
