Went to the web site looking for prices. Gotta call for them. Guessing it's kinda pricey. Worth it for the time and $ for flat repair but how it affects tire balance is a concern also. Good idea though. That idea coulda been my retirement fund.

These might be the next best thing in tire technology. I dunno. A solid rubber tire won't get a flat either, but somehow I think handling would be altered dramatically. I think some more research needs to be done before I'm gonna run right out and slap on a pair.

Early Adopter I ain't! I'll watch and wait.

Well next time I want to run over a board full of nails or drill a screw in my tire I will give them a call. I don't think it would be worth it. I could buy a bottle of slime too

Exactly, I think I have had maybe 3 or 4 flats in my 40 years of riding, and most of those were on dirt bikes when I was a kid. I think I had 1 flat one time on my Electra Glide. Other than that, I can't remember a flat on a street bike. Just lucky I guess. I bet those tires are expensive.

I've had 1 flat on my street bikes. I carry a tire repair kit complete with CO2 and I was back up and running in minuets.

I haven't seen the video or the product, but if it's ANYTHING like the solid ones for bicycles, steer clear! We wouldn't install them OR work on bicycles that had them on already when I worked as a wrench/salesman for a bunch of years as a younger man. They are hard on suspension and welds (and riders!), and don't handle worth a DARN. I agree with a previous post, not much that I've run into that does a better job than Green Slime!

Worst flat I ever had was in Charlotte, NC back around 87. I was running my 76 Superglide up the inside runoff lane on the 4 lane one way freeway overpass (Brookshire Blvd) that spaned 10+ lanes of interstate 85 at about 70mph to get around stopped rush hour traffic when I suddenly came up on a mangled up spoke hubcap and had a total failure of my 19" front tire.

After I got my britches and the seat cover broke loose out of my butt cheeks, I slow rode it a few miles to a gas station and called my friends I was headed for to come and get me, but damned if I aint pretty sure they waited till rush hour and happy hour were over.

Maybe it's just me but wide 16's never seem to hit my stability as hard as the tall narrow ones.

I've patched 7 tires (mine and others) in the last 12 years. Flats stink! BB
