I know this can be a touchy subject, but anyone have any good recommendations for a nice full-face that does not look too street and breaths well? I currently have an HJC CL-12 I like it but try to keep a newer helmet since the thing takes a lot of heat and heat wears down the protective material inside.

I have a Joe Rocket RKT 101 Graphite. Really light weight with good vis. Personally I think it's still kinda noisy for the cost. I also have a HJC modular, extremely noisy, don't like it.

I have the HJC Symax flip up as well and love it! For some reason after I ride for about 10 minutes, I have to sneeze, and the flip up really keeps me from having a mess inside the helmet!
It's also great when you pull up next to a sweet thing and you can flip up the chin bar and she can see your face. (or maybe it's not a good thing if you look like me)

YEAH IT SEEMS ABOUT IDENTICAL, EXCEPT FOR THE REAR AIR VENTS. I HAVE HAD MINE FOR JUST OVER A YEAR NOW, AND SO FAR I HAVE NO REAL COMPLAINTS. OTHER THAN IT DOES FOG EASY ON COOL MORNINGS, JUST FLIP THE VISOR UP 1/4 INCH. WHEN YOU ARE CRUISING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AND IT IS 105 DEGREES OUT SIDE, I HAVE ACTUALLY BEEN SURPRISED AT HOW MUCH I DON'T SWEAT.

Take a look at www.daytonahelmets.com . They have a regular full face type that I can get for you for $47.25+ shipping. And they have a "modular" type where the chin piece raises up in front of your forehead, that I can get for you for $72.55 + shipping.

I have the ICON alliance. Nice helmet for a decent price if you look around. About $150.00

Might want to check the ebay store Helmets4sale or lookup go4helmets@gmail.com

I bought a new full face modular with tinted visor for $26

Here is a 3rd vote for the Symax II. The only issue I have with it is if you don't use a windshield of some sort, it is very noisy. The flip up front is great and really handy when using my bluetooth comm system.
