I've got one of those models, too, on my work desktop (to remind me that real life and fun is outside the office). I bought mine off an eBay Motors bid almost 3 years ago. If you search the web for "die cast Road Star motorcycle," you may come up with vendors.

In fact, i just did a quick search on eBay and came up with these:

http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid=p3907.m38.l1313&_nkw=die+cast+road+star+motorcycle&_sacat=See-All-Categories

These aren't black, but....

Really liked the one in the picture with the saddlebags, and windsheild. I've seen the others, but this one is really good.

I did find the exact one, but it's "No longer available" I did the same search, just added "Silverado" to the search and came up with the black one. Now I just need to find one that IS available. Hammer, want to sell yours??

Ahhhhhh the (RD) cafe racer craze. You have to remember that at the time, Triumph and Norton were trying to survive and dying, AMF owned Harley, and the "new" model was the Honda 750 four. Most dedicated speeders still preferred the Kawi 750 triple and it was called Lightning for a reason. It was also the first time the gasoline supply got turned off by OPEC, propelling bike sales into the stratosphere. There, now I feel really old.

My 1981 Honda CM400C was like that - same signals, same dash, same frustrating lack of power... lol.

It was a great bike to tear apart and put back together to learn about bikes though! I think if that honda wasn't in such bad shape I'd be one more stuttering idiot taking their bike to the dealer. Ok, maybe not that bad, but it was nice to have a bike you can pick up and move!
