Cool, yes this is definately a great place to learn to play well with others. Now, if it is evident that your bike was tampered with to cause the flat, all bets are off. I like Frank's first idea of the helmet up the side of the head! Cheers, I'm glad your cool head prevailed. Enjoy your ride this weekend and put the experience far behind you. I'm leaving on a 3-dayer also. Oregon Coast this time!

One more update: I made one call to a friend in our physical facilities office for my company, and we now have twice as many designated COVERED MC spots to park the bikes at my building. I guess it pays to know someone!

Yesterday, I was leaving a little early and the hot-head was out having a smoke break. I walked up behind him, said "Hey pal, got a minute?", and stuck out my hand. He was completely caught off-guard, and actually shook my hand. Then I said, "I just want to apologize if anything I said or did set you off the other day. We're all out there on the road together, and we should look out for each other. Ride safe."

I turned away, fired up my Roadie, and rolled out.

When I glanced over my shoulder he looked like he was still picking his jaw up off the parking lot.

Gotta love Karma!!

COVERED ..... Now I'm pissed .... been fighting for 2 years now .. have bombarded everyone I can with e-mails .... even let my Admin Asst. loose on the powers to be (you don't mess with hee) and I can't get a parking spot for bikes.

I think the adage is kill em with kindness. Good job, Sometimes it's keeping our wits about us and controlling our temper that makes us men. The satifaction doesn't always make for the things we lose. Things like busted knuckles hurt longer than the satifaction lasts or the cost of replacing your helmet. I'm not saying there aren't times when it's just or rightous but you gotta pick your battles. I agree you don't mess with someones bike or family because then all bets are off. That and who needs the stain on your karma for dumb shit.
