1700 question 3 Years, 10 Months ago
Hello guys,

My son finally figured it out and wants to get rid of his rice rocket. We just looked at a 2004 1700 Roadstar with 13500 on it for milage. They
want 4000$ for it I think it is a great deal anything with the 1700 I
should be looking at I have the 2002 1600 any real difference.. Thanks in advance

Ron

Sounds like a great deal, better get it before it's gone. Some of the 04/05 roadstars have the svs issue (i'm sure you've read about that on here) but it's not too tough to deal with, just throw a little seafoam in every other tank, so far my 05 hasn't had any problems and there are minimal differenes. Hope it works out, gotta be a lot more comfy than a rice rocket .

There are some differences between the 1600 and 1700 but not many. Less vibes from the engine (rubber mounted) is one of the nicer ones. Extra cc's is nice too. LOL

Oh, man. I got more than DOUBLE that on SALVAGE on my '02 Roadie with 40K miles. In fact, I made a significant PROFIT on the salvage. There can be a silver lining on totaling one.
