If you looking to add some storage. I went with Harley mustache crash bar 80 and then Hogg Chopps lowers way stronger than harley 199 unfinished plus 65 for two large glove boxes. Very easy to install and way cleaner look than Harley lowers. I also found Harley chrome for 60 on closeout cut the mounts flat and tapped my light bar and two ss bolts. very sturdy and get compliments all the time. Go fig chrome left them on when put lowers on they just look cool.

Just some ideas if your looking option are good!

You have to trim them off and re drill one hole each. Takes about 5 minutes to do.

Yes mine did, I used fender washers (Rubber) and plastic or nylon spacers instead of metal. You can use chrome trim tape to make em blend in but no one notices. Anyways I did not cut anything only bought the hardware listed in Org. post except that I used a Nylon spacer. I think I used a slightly larger washer to get a better grab on the Lower as it does not line up perfect but Mine are on for like 7K miles and they do not vibrate and Never had a problem one out of them besides the fact that when i ride in the snow, they are only thing that will rust, so I have to use metal polish on them. I didn't drill or modify a thing. Just lobger bolts and washers and spacers.

which part number did you use? for me to bolt mine on to the windshield as opposed to the brackets for the lowers I would have had to put them on back wards. I actually thought they would look better that direction any way but I was too anal to not put them in the proper direction. I used the rubber the fender washers to cut down any vibration. worked great.

Anyone have the COBRA FATTY BARS? If so what lowers did you use? It looks like they would hit the bars when I turn. Maybe I am crazy but I just wanted some opinions before I get the wallet out. Thanks
