Is it common for the Road Star 1700 to whistle? 2 Years, 4 Months ago

I have always had loud pipes on my 07 Road Star and I recently put it all back to stock. I had the AIS removed and I was hearing a whistle at higher rpms or when reving the motor at a stop. I thought the removal kit was leaking so I put the pollution pump back on and it is still doing it. The next thing I did was remove the BARON's BAK kit as I thought the power cone was doing it. I put on the stock air breather and it is still doing it.
I ride with a bunch of guys that ride V-Star 1100's and theirs does not do this.
Is it common for the Road Star to Whistle/Whine at higher RPM's? I know the valves sound like a sewing machine but never hear the whistle until I put the quiet pipes back on.

I am selling the bike and nobody wanted to buy it so I sold off most of the accessories to make some cash. This way I do not lose much. I had over 4K in accessories and even selling the bike for less than NADA nobody wanted it. I may end up trading in the bike. I took it for a 300 mile ride today and it runs well, it just whistles which does not sound right. It also seems to make a pressure release sound when I hit the brakes. I was wandering if there is some type of decompression thing on it.

DrumDon, THAT'S funny!
jkreylin, I have no idea why it's whistling on ya. Are you sure it isn't coming from you riding one of the best bikes out there?

From what I can tell it is coming from the front cylinder. I would assume that there is a counter balancer in the motor to smooth out the vibes similar to a Harley Softail. I was wandering if anyone else has heard a similar sound but all I am getting are personal remarks.

I don't know if this will help any, but this is a pretty cool video.........

From listening to the video it sounds as if his bike also has a whistle when he accelerates. He also had a bit about the AIS making sounds. The sound is coming from the front but it was also doing it with the AIS removed and the Sky Customs kit.
Thanks for the link.
