hey guy's

thinking of installing h-d hard bags. how is that done?

do you re-use the roadstar silverado mounts or something else?

note: have 03 roadstar silverado model

baddad.com sells brackets for roadstar to fit HD bags. kinda pricey,but....

build your own using the eye brow bolts as a mounting point. I had H.D. bags on mine at one time. But I used my trailer hitch to mount them to.

A couple of other options...

See links in my sigpic to my bike with HD bags installed. Mine is a Cyclevision Bagger Tail kit for Soft Tail CV7200A. The chrome kit is CV7205. Mike C out in CA did it and reports that he made minor mods (bending) to the kit but no welding was needed. The small rear brace that connects L to R and straddles the rear tire under the fender was a simple piece of hollow round bar from a hardward store flattened on the ends if the shipped piece does not work.

Jed (onerighthand on RSR forume) came across another version. It is cut from one thinner 1/4 plate. He reports it may be easier to mod and adapt. http://www.mckayscyclecreations.com/.
