Model # info 2 Years, 8 Months ago
Is there a place on the bike that has the model # or can the vin tell me about the model? I know it is on 04 and they said it was a silverado edition. My insurance card says XV1700 and I'm just curious
Thanks,

A similar thread on this was started a couple of weeks ago. Don't know if this will help or not:

Is it OK to post a vin#?
If so can someone possibly give me more info on the machine?
What are the base differences between a base bike and a silverado edition?

Thanks,

Silverado has studded seats (fairly sure), passenger backrest, saddle bags, slightly different handlebars, windshield.
Mechanically they are the same, just the accessories are added.
