No more "spark knock." I kid you not, I rode it yesterday, blasted all over the place, got it nice and hot, and while it still sounds like a sewing machine with a 2-into-1 exhaust, it no longer pings like crazy leaving stop lights or under a light load. I still think refining the jetting at the really low throttle settings will make it even quieter, but the plugs are a big improvement. I think they resist pre-ignition a little better, perhaps keeping the heat range more consistent due to less material in the combustion chamber. Click on the little "x" when you get through the search to see the plug part # (it's not 4164, btw). I have been running them for about 18,000 miles on my 3rd set. I change every 8K whether they need it or not. Plugs are so cheap there is no reason not to change them regualarly.
