Hey BB,
I just got off the phone with WOW Motorcycles. We could not agree on price. They were at almost $7,000 and would not budge due to the low miles and nice shape. I figure add another $1,000 to that price and I'm looking at a 2003 or 2004 Silverado, which is a lot newer. Oh well. I'll keep looking...

Well, That's life sometimes. Now, I bought mine brand new (06) for about 10 grand, so there is bound to be a dealership closer than Atlanta where you can get the same kind of deal, and you can finance. Just a thought.(And if for some reason you can't find a good deal, and you feel like riding one home, give these guys a call: Lawrenceville Honda/Yamaha 770-822-0089)BB.

Seems like a screamin deal!!

That's one of the best prices I've seen for a new bike. Gotta love EBAY. I still have my heart set on a 1999 green/silver or a 2000 black/silver or a 2003 Liquid Silver. I'm watching a few on Ebay now. I'll find the right one soon.

Thanks all.

Just an update on my situation. I settled on a price with a nice guy in North Carolina on a 2003 Road Star Silverado, Limited Edition - Liquid Silver.

I am having it shipped here. This all should be done in a couple of weeks. I will post pictures when I have the bike, maybe even some of it comming off the truck!

Take care everyone.

I have purchased 2 bikes from WOW.. great people to deal with. It depends on the bike. My first was a 2005 650 silverado with only 400 miles and they wouldn't come down a nickel. I rode her 6 months had 6500 when I traded for my 03 Roadie it had 4000 miles. I gave a few pennies over 8000, got 100% financing at the bank so they had to be close to book vaule. But I had to add $850 from my 650, but well worth it IMHO..

I bought a 01 RS for 6700. I thought I paid a little much for it until I seen another 01 at the locale dealer, 7K had 45K on the clock, mine has 3600 now. Plus I may have 7 ot 8 hundred in accessories now. Good luck with it. You'll love it.

Actually, I live in the Chicago, IL area. I found this bike at a place called WOW Motorcycles in Georgia. Based on the photos and the conversations I have had, I'm confortable with buying it sight unseen and having it shipped here.

I like the 1999 green/silver and the 2000 black/silver, but they take some searching to find. I just think that $6,960 for a bike in Georgia sounds a little high. Has anyone ever heard of this outfit (WOW Motorcycles)? Here is the link to the bike I am looking at... http://www.wowmotorcycles.com/ Click on the "motorcycles" link on the left, then click on the "Yamaha" button on the top and scroll down to the 1999 Green/Silver Road star.

Let me know what you think.

Price may be a bit on the high side but have you checked into what it will cost to ship it to Chicago? Probably won't be cheap..........
