The Good Pain 2 Years, 4 Months ago
Beautiful day here, 80 degrees & sunny, so I decided to take the windshield off the bike before I ran some errands. On the way home I caught a bee (or something capable of stinging me) right in the cheek next to my glasses at about 45 MPH. Impact hurt first, then I realized I was getting stung and wiped it away.

I put a paste made of Adolph's meat tenderizer & water on it (it works) and it's throbbing like Hell and welting up a bit, but it's making me smile and be thankful all the same. I'm guessing only someone who really rides for pleasure would understand THAT...

Around town, just my goggles, Hi-way speeds I always wear full face helmet, and I've heard a few bugs ring the bell on my helmet. I always think about how much that would have hurt if I wouldn't have had my helmet on. Sometimes it's not to protect my head from hitting the pavement but the bugs from hitting my head.

Superslab I do the full face for any distance, but it was such a beee--ooo--tiful day, I did the half helmet and no shield. Totally worth it.

No pics, I wasn't thinking camera, I was spray painting an old antique mirror frame and they just came out of no where, and zapped my hand, I guess they didn't like the smell...one good thing came out of it, when I took the mirror out of the frame, I found a copy of the NY times sports page dated "june 14 1925". Man talk about a time shift.. It's pretty cool, I think I will put it back into the frame and let the next guy find it...

Hey FB, you might want to consider Ebay'n that thing. It's a collector's item for sure. Heck, wait for the Antiques Roadshow to come around and you can be on TV!
