Seat Issues 2 Years, 8 Months ago
I've had my 2004 Road Star Midnight since May. It has a stock seat. After about 100 miles my butt has just about had it. I almost need to stop about every 20 miles and just get off for a while. Will an aftermarket seat fix the problem? Mustang or Ultimate?

Thanks

I put 1-1/2 in memory foam in my stock seat and it was fine on the last 100 mi ride I went on. But I'm sure the aftermarket
seats are all alot better. When I finaly get one it will be the Ultimate.

i just asked about suggestions about a new seat ultimate seemed to be the winning vote, however my pocket didnt agree at the moment... i found a seat by Danny Grey, I'll give you all a heads up as to how i like it.

there is also the ultima seat's that demon cycles sells on ebay witch are dirt cheap for a seat 94 and 114 dollars.... i may be trying one out soon for my other bike.

my bike had the corbin tour seat on it when I got it and after a few rides we had to get rid of it. we tried the ultimate and although the seat felt ok for me, my wife absolutely hated the ultimate. we discovered that the ultimate pillion has only an 8" wide pan for 14 inches of foam, leaving 3 inches of unsupported foam on each side. may be ok for a tiny chick but not for my wife. we then went with the mustang seat with the drivers backrest. still have to take a break about every 100 miles to stretch.

I had the same problem as you. After putting the ultimate seat on I can ride all day without anymore butt pain.

I also have a 2004 and bought a Mustang on e-bay because of the price..And I love it, I can ride all day.....BUT you need to ride a few hours in each seat to decide...All butts are different..
